How it works

1Install PlugLog in Home AssistantThrough HACS: add PlugLog's repository (Custom repositories, type Integration), download PlugLog and restart Home Assistant.
2Make a key for itHome Assistant asks for it when you add PlugLog (Settings › Devices & services › Add integration). It can read only, never change anything.
3Pick vehiclesThe ones Home Assistant shows. Untick any you'd rather keep out of it.

Set it up from your PlugLog account. Signing up is free: no password, just your email.

Battery, range, charging and driving as sensors, for each vehicle you pick, pushed live (no polling)
Events when a drive starts or ends and a charge starts or ends, for your automations
A read-only key: it can never change anything, and never sees where your vehicles are

With the vehicle, and each drive's distance, energy and efficiency, or each charge's energy added. Never where it is.

Ideas: porch lights on when a drive ends after dark; a phone alert if the truck isn't plugged in by 10 PM; the dryer waits until charging stops.
