Tesla Wall Connector (Gen 3)

Every Gen 3 Wall Connector answers on your home network, with no sign-in. Works for any vehicle you plug into it, Tesla or not.

How PlugLog reaches it

Your PlugCam Pi (while it's home) or the PlugLog app on your phone, on the same Wi-Fi, reads it and sends the sessions to PlugLog. Home Assistant can too.

What it gives

  • Energy for each session, and its own lifetime total
  • Power while it's read
  • Which vehicle: matched by time

Not listed? Tell us your charger. Many work through Home Assistant today.

How a session finds its vehicle

Most home chargers never say which vehicle is plugged in. PlugLog already knows when each of yours charged.

  1. 1

    The times line up

Each session goes to the vehicle whose own charge it overlaps: from the PlugLog app in the vehicle, the PlugCam Pi, or Tesla.

  2. 2

The power curve breaks a tie

Two could fit? The one whose charging power rose and tapered like the charger's.

  3. 3

    Otherwise, your call

The charger's default vehicle, if you set one. If not, it waits under Unassigned for one tap: a vehicle, a guest's, or not a charge.
